Tim,
Do you see something on that camera that indicates it has a remote?? I didn't see one listed, so maybe missed it. I really like the looks of those types, compact and more or less bullet proof.

I need to clarify, "used DIGITAL" camera. Most will not be able to ditigize analog footage, in order to input it into your computer.y4 wrote:This company has interesting things; www.supercircuits.com, monitors, bullit cams, DVR's. Great prices too. Flash drives do not like vibration very well. If you were just looking for a camera to hang on the out side of your plane, I would suggest going to the hock shop, or ebay, there are many used small cameras, with remotes, and image stabilization. The old tape types do not have a problem with vibration, and have faster shutter speeds that will stop the prop blur. I have several bullit cams, they seem to have a slight problem with reproducing colors accurately as well as a slow shutter speed, but I can correct the colors with Adobe Primiere, but that is an added expense. Mainly if it falls off or gets hit with a rock, you are not out much. Cameras are like airplanes, there is always a trade off.

So you attached the camera to the aft gear leg I take it. Is there a way to eliminate the prop blur? I was thinking of mounting outside the prop arc, but the disadvantage there is that you then have no airplane reference, which you do have with your setup, which I like.
Course, I'd probably step on the video camera as I got out of the plane....
