Weather permitting, I'll see you there. I've been trying to make one of their first Saturday events, but keep running into conflicts. I'll be sure to block out these dates on my calendar.

It's a good fly-in, unfortunately I'll be away working this year.

I'd like to go also if I can make it. I've been there before, first class fly-in. The car and motorcycle collections are icing on the cake. Beautiful venue. Weird winds.

Re: WAAAM Hood River Fly-In Sept 11, 12&13

This is a great fly-in...I haven't been in years though. I'd be going if I didn't have a work convention to go to in Reno. Hopefully the wx cooperates and at least the wife and I can fly to Reno in the 182. If I didn't have that already planned I'd be at the fly-in. Ah well, maybe next year....
My Dad should be there in the 207, along with a good friend/hangar mate in his Pacer.

I'm working that weekend, but I'll make some home made ice cream for the guys that show up. 8) . They've been watering the grass runway, so it's looking really nice right now!

Re: WAAAM Hood River Fly-In Sept 11, 12&13

For the uninitiated - is camping OK? And what's the story with the Friday pilots day? Would a thurs evening arrival be ok?

Edit - I just RTFQ, looks like camping is good to go and the pilots day is just what it sounds like. Not clear if thurs arrival will be well received, but guess we'll find out when we get there.

Planning to check out an Ercoupe for sale at Sunriver, then continue on up to Hood to arrive thurs night. Hang friday and depart back to Ca sat morning.

I thought it would be nice if all the BCP's could throw a sign or label up in their aircraft that says BCP or BackcountryPilot to help facilitate members ability to meet others.
