Re: WAAAM Hood River Fly-In Sept 11, 12&13

That's a great idea Rob. Last year I missed a couple BCP guys because I did not know who they were.

Unfortunately I'm headed back to Europe today for another three weeks of work and I'm going to miss out on the fun.

I try not to post my mug online because I don't want to be responsible for breaking everyone's monitors, but if it works like the past two years, we'll be parked with all the other Stinsons, just look for this one ---->

So what you're trying to tell us is you're in the witness protection program or extremely paranoid about somebody seeing your picture.

I'll make up a batch of Home made ice cream for Friday night. I'll bring it over in my black Toyota Tundra. Here's what I look like so you can recognize me:

I'm away from my plane on a business trip and won't be back home until mid day Saturday. If I fly down to Hood River on Sunday morning, will anybody still be there?

Re: WAAAM Hood River Fly-In Sept 11, 12&13

Well, I just got home and this was an incredible fly-in. Perfect WX, HUGE turnout, very well organized, good good and beverages. Had chance to meet Hotrod 180 and CourierGuy. I missed OregonMaule, but actually watched his wingtip clearance from another airplane while he taxied out.

This by far is the best fly-in the the PNW. Everyone needs to put it on their calendars for next year.

Re: WAAAM Hood River Fly-In Sept 11, 12&13

Got home last night about 7 from the fly-in, left about 530. Good flight home. Looks like the winds are blowing in the gorge, at least at the Dalles & east of there, glad I didn't wait to come home today. Ran into Rob (Oregon Maule), Jon (jugheadF15), Tom (courierguy), and I think a couple other guys from the site. Missed out on the home-made ice cream Friday night though, dammit!

First time to the museum and to the fly-in. Both were great! An immense turnout by Friday night, I'm surprised there was room for everyone although some Saturday arrivals did get stuck out on the ramp.
I think a lot of them might have been able to move to the grass spots vacated by early departers like me.
