Re: What's on your current playlist?

For over 50 years it has always been British Rock for me, but as of late it has been Bluegrass. Ashley Campbell along with her mom has been caring for and touring with her father Glen in his final tour as Alzheimer's claims his mind as it did for my dad while I was caring for him.

To give a time lapse perspective, here is Glen Campbell back in 1973 (more than a dozen years before Ashley was born) with a then 19 year old Carl Jackson who would become Ashley's Godfather.

Fast forward about 40 years, Carl and Ashley........

Needless to say, Ashley and Carl would be great entertainment at the next JC fly-in.

Ashley and Glen on his final tour.

Re: What's on your current playlist?

This is all good stuff...

For me lately I have gone back to county... Everything from old Cash and Willie to the new stuff... Heard some Chris Stapleton and I had to turn it up...

Still have Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull on backup.. [emoji3]

Came across this recently. A little outside the box, but for some reason it captured my attention. Very pure.

I'm loving some fiddle playing these days. Lindsey Stirling in particular. And I have a good ol Johnny Horton CD in my pickup.

Re: What's on your current playlist?

I flight plan around the Sunday morning Sirius radio show "Ranger Doug's Classic Cowboy Corral", on the Willie Nelson channel at 7:00 AM. Something about landing a new off airport site and/or low cruising the backcountry while listening to yodeling just seems right, don't ask me why, it just does.

After that hour long show is over, I switch over to the Blues channel, and listen to the Sunday morning acoustic "Front Porch", blues show, that's good for another 2 hours. Oddly enough, this different =D> music also seems just right for flying to also.
