Where did you fly today?
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!
Emmett,
Haven't talked to Shaun in awhile, and didn't run into him when I was in Douglas. He may be traveling right now.

Do you need prior permission to land there? last time i was there was at one of there fly-in's
Tom
Nope. The owners run the river rafting op there so watch out for campers on the runway. Other than that they like airplanes and the field is in great shape. I used to take care of Gaddabout's airplane many many years ago when he was making the fishing films, so we go there quite a bit for nostalgia, I guess!!

No epic back country action but non the less it wasn't a bad day for flying around the area. Went to Independence for some BBQ then showed some friends Toledo and Pacific City.

On the ground in Toledo

Some big lake

Turning final in Pacific City

Above the clouds on the way home

Tyler Adams, aka Chosstronaut, perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor and he will be missed greatly.

Off to Eureka Nevada to get hitched, with Pops and Teresa Dory to sing a great song and do the honors!

And a damn fine wine.

Good time had by all...

Gump. Congratulations to you and your bride. I know you wouldn't put this on here if you didn't want our response. I sincerely wish you many many happy years, even though you have failed miserably at divorce.

Milas-Bodrum Turkey to Munich but since it is not by definition a back country flight I won't bore you with pictures. Not that I took any.
