Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

What exactly is Chief wearing? I'll be flying with about a 25 lb dog, and that looks different than the vest I put him in when kayaking.

He's got a Ruffwear Webmaster harness on, I attach a short leash to it and tie him into the rear seatbelts ... Keeps him in the back, gives him room to move but won't hurt his neck if he gets jerked around in turbulence. Helps for lifting him in and out of the plane too.

Hey A1Skinner, mud on the bottom of the wings is "credibility" that you're a real backcountry guy.

Nice bike.

I'm really liking my 172. Without a rear seat can carry 2 bikes + weekend gear. Did have to pop the wheels off, though.

This is my first off airport adventure, I was so nervous when we left the airport that I forgot to hit the record button, so I did not get the landing.

Where did you fly today?

Heading north east. Left Texas at oh dark thirty. Had a little tail wind. 10 hours flight time in the super cub. Image

Does this qualify as a cross country?

Re: Where did you fly today?

It was a beautiful day in the Northwest. Smooth air and practically CAVU! I went out to Jeff's place, Field of Dreams. Got to see his new hangar being built, take my first ride in a Stinson and actually stay for more than 5 minutes. Jeff's got a great place and if you want a fun strip give his a try. I learned that I really like taking off into the shorter trees, not the tall ones!
