Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

We are lucky to have a bit of a playground quite close to home.

This was Saturday, March 25

Re: Where did you fly today?

The weather hasn't been cooperating on the Central Coast this year, so
Friday, March 25, I had a nice morning and shot this video early at Santa Ynez.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Just a local flight. I shot these while tooling around the neighborhood mountains. I wasn't too happy with the results as I accidentally set my ISO too high resulting in some grain/noise. Anyway, the moonrise was a nice surprise.

Re: Where did you fly today?

On Saturday I went into Grasshopper for the first time this spring (and only my second time ever). It was a pretty fantastic day, but unfortunately I found a pile of trash right next to the strip likely left from last fall. It came out in the belly pod.

More recently, I played around a bit along the Matanuska River scouting out places for my sons and I to potentially trap beaver and/or go snowshoe hare hunting. Sure was fun to explore and land on unmarked gravel bars!

Fun bar hopping day Brian! 8)

Debbie needed to study for a test after supper and said, "go fly". :D So I called Ben who lives next to the East Gull strip and we just cruised around Monday evening after he got the kids to bed. Checked out some land being logged and bored holes in the gloaming.

Too nice of a day not to play hooky and go flying. Smooth as glass, so I was able to get an angle I've been wanting to get for a while.

My first time to LXV at over 9900ft MSL last weekend. Took the courtesy car into town with a friend to get some coffee.

Re: Where did you fly today?

No destination of consequence, but my 5 year old was basically begging me to go fly. About an hour total, out towards eastern Colorado and back. We had pretty constant light chop the morning after a storm had passed, but it didn't seem to affect him one bit. He was also my first passenger flight after installing the BAS harnesses, which look to work very well for people of all sizes.
