Where didn't you fly today?

Well, it is Sunday morning in the Poconos. About -15 with the wind chill figured in. Built the fire up in the Morso wood stove and I am sitting here thinking about where I would fly today if I could.

Just noticed the cracker bits in the keyboard. Sounds funny when I hit the keys. Guess I am going to have a little discussion with the wife about eating and using the computer at the same time!

My St. Bernard is laying on the floor next to me with her head on my foot. Hope you guys are having a good day!

Got you beat on the temperature. It was -27F without factoring the windchill when I got up this morning, here in North-West Ontario. May have to go out to the ice shack this afternoon, too cold to do much else. Have not been in the plane since October. No one is ski-flying up here on the lakes because we had so much snow right after ice up that it is acting as insulation, so the ice is not too thick and the slush underneath is bad in a lot of areas.

Heading down to Oak Harbor by Haines City Florida next week to float-fly in Brian's C180. Slush should not be a problem there.

I was scheduled to fly with my instructor this morning from 10-1 and practice landings. The day was gorgeous, clear to 12,000 unrestricted visibility but with winds at 240@17Kts Gusting to 25 and the runway being 28 with a forecast of the winds to pick up we decided to do some ground work instead.

Ugh, weather has been the biggest factor in slowing my progress with my license. Oh well, it will all come together in due time, I just hate when the weather is beautiful when I'm working and then on the weekends it goes to 1400 overcast.

Anyway, got to hang out at the airport and hanger fly, beats a sharp stick in the eye any day.

Well it was +20 with a skiff of new snow. Warmed up from the -0s it's been. So kind of like a heat wave. Only planes flying around here are the Ameriflight pilots during the week. In at 10, out at 6. Almost set your watch by them.

So today I have a fire in the stove out in the shop. About 70 in there and warm enough to work in a tee shirt. 8) Been sanding, routering a wood working project, figured to take a break and check what's new a BCP. Wife and son and his buddys are out sledding, daughter went to the Sunday movie with a friend. So it is silent around the house. Maybe a anp in order.

See ya, Bub

Engine being overhauled. No flying for me!

Plane is perfect, legal, running well, as am I. Wx is beautiful.

There is a work project that has me so pinned down, I can barely break for lunch. We have a trip planned to Red Mountain in Rossland, BC this weekend that I am currently earning.

So, this is good and bad.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Well Dang! Another Sunday, absolutely pure blue skies and little wind. Unfortunately the turf is solid ice! Best I can do is is slide over to the hangar and check to make sure the areoplane is not lonely!

Cold, gray, blowing snow... just walked over to my ski strip and saw that some knuckleheads have laced it with criss-crossing snowmachine tracks. I guess it's time to put the drag on the Skandic and go do some grooming. Why do people still not get it ](*,)

It's warmed up considerably around here, now it is rain, high 30s and low clouds. The airport was flooded most of last week with the only thing keeping my hanger sort of dry was the big ice dam in front of the door. No flying for me for a while.

M7 in for annual, so we went to Mt. Bachelor, Oregon for some sledding. Perfect weather and 8 feet of snow.

I should have the M7 back Tuesday. Very few problems.
