Hi Bruce, the annual wasn't to bad. Had to weld the crack in the muffler again. TomD gave me a lead for a permanent fix. I'm going to follow up on it. My trim problem we think was to much tension on the cable. We think it is fixed.

So we are good for another year.

What's your favorite spot in the San Juan's?

Cheers...Rob

Rob,
If you can stop Maule mufflers from cracking let us all know how. I've just come to believe their mufflers are like their tailwheels.

Wup,
Is it true that your tailwheels are on the Maule TC now? No more STC and 337's just a logbook entry?

Yes tis true... No more STC required..

On the Muffs send them to Dwaley they will fix and reinforce them....

and more good to come on that front as well

Muffler solution

My AP/IA has a fix which takes the stress off the back of the muffler can and rebuilds the muffler with a full length baffle.

Right now he is doing the work under a 337 on O and IO 540 engines.

I have been running this mod for over two years with absolutely no problems.

If you would like more details drop me a PM.

Cold, gray, blowing snow...

-17 and 40 knots, 1/4 mile vis yesterday...

now it is rain, high 30s and low clouds.

I guess all that white stuff builds character. Here is what we have been suffering through for the past few days: (Carnac Island, West Oz)

Oh yeah... I also have to take a test drive in this thing:

Fixed it for ya Bub, I was just about to ask what the hell a 140G was.

FYI ya gotta get the URL of the image(ends in .jpg), not the photo gallery page.

Damn Bub, your equipment is MUCH nicer than mine. I spent last Wednesday night and all day Saturday in our plow. It is a 1986 Chevy Silverado 2500, with lots of rust, no exhaust, rusted out floor board, leaky hydrolics, and about a dozen engines/transmissions to weight it down in the back. I'll post a pic when I can get a good one of it.

Looks like too many knobs and levers for me!!!! No snow here, but enough wind to last a lifetime.

Though I made it to Mr Scout's for spaghetti... Where were the rest of you guys??????

Let's see, the G would be the much feared "Gustof" version of the 140 wouldn't it? Or am I confusing it with another aircraft? I hate getting old. I don't miss the hearing, but my mind and my eyes, I miss them

I thought about the milk crate approach pretty seriously as I have about 6 of em in my garage. Then I remembered their effect as chairs in hunting camp and how long it takes to get the resulting wafflebutt pattern out of my rear and reconsidered. I'm now looking a comfy wooden chair I have in the entryway. 8)
