Still overhauling here, was hoping to fly out to a village for the race - so much for that idea.

You still might be able to make it if you aren't tied up too long. They are taking the northern route this year. It would be cool to fly to either Farewell of McGrath if you can. That will probably be the hot spots about Tues and Wed.

Plane is on the other side of the state and I need a flight review. I was going to have my Pap's bring the plane over this weekend but with two tests, a quiz, two tough homeworks due, and 36 homeworks to grade all by the beginning of next week I'll be lucky if I get to put the books down at all. I'm sure you guys are laughing at this college kid but I thought school was supposed to be fun :x

The sun was shining bright and the weather was great...sure would have been nice day for a ride in a 7GCBC

Just had another 1.5 inches of rain a day ago. Now it is sunny and clear with winds 25 to 30 mph and gusting over 40. Field is starting to get dryer but we still had to pull a RV8 out of the mud. Silly boy thought he was going flying!

Maybe I can sneak out Easter Sunday?

teeth

Yesterday was a good day for flying. Got to fly a Cessna 195 for the second time and then deliver a customer down to Modesto, Ca in the 180.

Today wasn't so good since I had my wisdom teeth pulled this morning, now laying around the house surfing and watching movies.

Hope someone burned a little avgas for me today.

Didn't fly over to Mason today to see about a radio upgrade. Why? 300 ft. Ceiling, 1/4 mile visibility in snow.
Sitting in front of the fire with my Corgi at my side, adult beverage in hand. Almost as good as flying!

Whats left of them  I hope the wisdom doesn't stay in the teeth.

I did see Splashpilots 180 go overhead around noon today. Sounded about like 2850 rpm.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Had to do my BFR yesterday so headed to Llano, met up with a flight instructor friend and headed off airport. When we got back our BCP own fiftynineSC was waiting and took us out to lunch. Afterwards fiftynineSC slow-flighted his 185 as I showed him a bunch of local grass strips. We ended up at my Texas home strip 88R and I took this picture of his bird before he headed back to Hooks. Always good to meet a fellow BCP'r and make a new friend. :-)

Re: Where didn't you fly today?

Thanks Phil....had a great time yesterday. Best flying day of the year so far. Really appreciate the time. It had been a while since I'd flown a 180/185 for an hour plus with a notch out and 80 mph. Really fun.

FYI...to the BCPers....got to spend some time at Llano yesterday (sight of the eminent Roundup). The strip and the airport are in top notch condition and all the hard work of the local team really show's. Should be a first class event.
