These trail cameras work pretty good. If you're with At&t, they work even better. http://www.bestgamecamera.com/categorie ... ification/

Law abiding citizens don't need legal representation and certainly would not be prosecuted.
Don't count on it. It's folks like you, without legal training, who think they can talk themselves out of being prosecuted, who help folks like me make a living. No fooling. I can't tell you how many clients I had, good people, who found themselves in a legal crack due to their "I'm innocent, so I don't need a lawyer" mentality. They were prosecuted, or I wouldn't have been involved to defend them. Sometimes I persuaded the prosecutor to dismiss, sometimes I persuaded the Judge to dismiss, sometimes I persuaded the jury to acquit, and sometimes I didn't. But my clients went through hell and spent beau coup bucks, in any event.

In contrast, if they called me first, I could decide whether they should talk with LE, and if so, I had strings attached. If I decided that they shouldn't, they didn't. And the defense was a lot easier and had a greater chance for success.

Re: Wireless hangar alarm (grrrrr)

Amen... When I wasn't flying, I was working as a deputy sheriff (or, the other way around) and my ex was a Deputy DA for Sonoma County. It was an absolute eye opener as a young cop to learn that the court system didn't operate on the principles of, "Truth, Justice, and the American Way."

It was just the opposite, and those who took the worst hosings were the decent, middle class folks who couldn't afford a good lawyer, and unlike the lowlifes, actually feared and cared about being charged with a criminal offence. A lot of law enforcement guys were lazy and didn't care to write up a decent report or do a thorough investigation. The DA's Office certainly didn't care about right or wrong, but instead it was a matter of stats and power plays, and most judges (Coyote Ugly is certainly an exception!) had their own political adgendas. Truth was low on their list of concerns.

Shooting someone as a civilian, no matter how clean and justified, would be an absolute legal nightmare for most folks. Criminal charges aside, if there's a racial issue get ready for the FBI to be your new best friends for civil rights charges, and just wait for the civil courts to get their hooks in you, when the young "victim" sues you for all his pain and suffering.

It ain't like in the movies. Rant over......

Re: Wireless hangar alarm (grrrrr)

I did a crane job last week at our old hospital helicopter pad, and told the maintenance guy I was working with that OHSA regulations required that before we started this sign needed to be removed and stowed on board the crane. He said sure, no problem, knowing I wanted it for the hangar. Rotor or prop, close enough. Just another incentive not to come in my hangar, that and Ted the terrier, plus my bedroom window is about 40' from the door, AND I have no avionics to speak of.Image

I think I'd be more worried about the biting monkeys (per your sign) than Ted the dog.
