According to the website:
Engine Mount
Exhaust System
Induction System
Air Box
Cowl Mods
Baffling
40 Amp Alternator
Oil Cooler
Oil Hoses
Fuel Hoses
Boost Fuel Pump
Control Cables
EGT/CHT Instruments
Tachometer
Manifold/Fuel Flow Instrument
Oil Temp Gauge
Scat Tubing
AN Hardware
Wiring
Switches
Breakers

And.... paperwork....

After doing (in the process of doing) a Continental IO-360 conversion on a 170, $20K for everything but the motor sounds reasonable to me. All that little stuff adds up quick.

Re: Conti 0-300

Ah, didn't realize it was such a comprehensive kit. Dave is a good guy. I saw his installation on his 170 at the Airmen show last year, very nice.

The IO-360 is kind of a weird hybrid between the 300 & the 470.
Mounts are similar to 470.
Mag drive / generator drive similar to 300.
Cylinders are unique, I think, except maybe the same as the uncommon IO240 developed on the 1990's.
360 cylinders bolted onto a 300 would be cool, kind of a Ponk treatment,
just not sure if its possible or practical.

I'm in the process of thinking/dreaming about an 0-360 or IO-360 upgrade. I had a long talk with Dave Stoots and he comes over as extremely professional and capable. If I won the lottery my plane would be there tomorrow.

Re: Conti 0-300

I've been doing various "little" enhancements to my 170 over the last year since purchasing it. The final icing on the cake will be an engine upgrade of some sort, its on the wish list and slowly working it's way to the top.

I did my C170 IO-360 conversion 18 years ago... that $20K price for that whole kit sounds in line with reality. Especially if the documentation is good. We spent a fair amount of time and money just looking for all the parts and figuring out stuff that wasn’t entirely clear in the docs.
