Well, it's about time! =D>

Keeping an airplane at a airport miles away.....it'd be like keeping your best friend (that'd be your dog) at a kennel in town.

Another long term effect of purchasing enough ground to fly a plane out of, after making that extra special effort by hard work to obtain that ground to assuage the airplane's needs, is that after a few decades if the need arises, one may find they can now sell all that property for much more then they paid long ago. Some may call this "real estate speculation", I call it "take care of the plane and it will take care of you".

I stumbled into this accidentally, when I sold my 11 acres after 28 yrs there, looking back, it was like I had some kind of grand scheme, and was a brilliant investor! Just hill billy luck and I have flying to thanks for it.

Are you going to see if they will bury the power lines on that section of the road? I think he needs to get over himself and just do what you tell him to! =D>

Re: Hay field landing.

I made my first landing in the new field today. I only have 450 feet right now, but once I move some trees I will have 850 feet east and west and 1500 feet north and south. The Maule does fine with 450 feet since there are no obstructions on the approach.ImageImageImageImage

Re: Hay field landing.

You should put up one of these. Cause your gonna probably be tempted to taxi across the street and park it right by your house, Just because you can.

Hey Battson: the tires are the AirHawk 29X11X10 Way less $$$ than real bush wheels. I run to much asphalt. I have a sweet pair of 35s I run when I am doing a bunch of off airport stuff.

More good news. Met with attorney #3 he is in my home town. He agrees with attorneys #1 and #2 the farmers lease was written wrong and can be terminated each year 90 days prior to the anniversary date. I'm in the process of writing a new lease for the tree farmer. If he doesn't sign it, I will plant the whole 22 acres to hay and have an aerodrome.

Cheers...Rob
