So is the dry lake bed smooth enough for a 2000lb airplane on tiny 600x6 tires?

That place where you landed last year Brian is dry as a bone now! I am calling it "The mud shop"We will have to take everyone there for at least one landing...

Just by a pure guess, I am betting we have around 50-60 planes coming so far...Its going to be fun!
I have a very good buddy that owns "Man Wielding Fire" in Reno. He offered today to come out and cater or Saturday night dinner! I still need to ponder a bit on that but thinking this could be very good! We are going big time with porta-potties, free beer and t shirts and a catered cowboy dinner Saturday night!
Some have asked what they can bring?? Bring a pumpkin and your smiling face! Donations will be accepted of course but not mandatory. I hope to make this one of the more sought after fly-ins due to its fun nature. I hope that folks are into hanging out with one another around the fire and sharing stories rather than returning to the confines of your own camp early to do your own thing. Lets be social!!!![]()
In a few days I will post a common freq to be used for inbound aircraft and a traffic pattern for the strip. Each morning we will have a pilot briefing on areas to be flown, common traffic patterns at most of the places we fly and land, along with some other basic safety stuff. I actually enjoy doing this with everyone and feel it is important given the number of aircraft attending. The strip itself will be marked and a flag will be flying at the threshold as well for wind direction.
Ideas and concerns are welcome. Please express any that you may have.
