Thanks, now both my forearms are bruised and have red marks from reaching through the inspection holes as far as I can to buck the rivets.

That's known as "Cessna Arm" those red arcs all over one's arms. Are those macfarlane rails?

Yes they are the McFarlane rails. I just noticed yesterday that they have 8 holes instead of 6 like the old rails, allowing for two more inches of legroom, which will be nice. There's also a ninth hole further back that will allow the seat to be locked in place half way back on the rail.

The texture is similar to sandpaper. I was hoping it would be a little more course but I'm happy with the results. Hopefully it will prevent wet shoes from slipping on the rudder pedals.

The seats them selves weigh 6.5lbs per side, then there's the rails and mounting hardware which add up. Something over 20lbs total, I'll try to get everything on the scales and record an actual weight before I install them.

Here is what Greg posted back in December, it looks like 18.3lbs for the whole set and 24.4lbs with upholstery.

Aviation Creations Upholstery (incl leather, 1" hi-density foam, extra back flap to slide onto seat and all velcro) - 3.05 lbs

Total weight for single un-upholstered - 9.13 lbs.
Total weight for single upholstered - 12.18

Left and right seat install incl leather upholstery - Aprox 24.4

I got the floor rails installed for the Atlee Dodge jump seats last night. Hopefully I'll have the side rails installed tonight.

Yup, similar numbers with mine. In my case, my Cessna rear bench seat weighed in at just about 25 lbs, so with two Atlees installed there's really no appreciable weight difference. The downside to the Atlee weight is that the rails and side brackets are permanent, even if you have the seats out, you're still carrying that weight in the plane. The silver lining is that the floor rails in particular add a lot of reinforcement to the floor, especially in a 170B. I envision running mine with one Atlee seat much of the time, which should be a big gain in versatility.
I think you'll love them Rob. Good call to add them.
