Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Went out on Sunday for a leisurley Aerobatic Ride in an Extra300L with Bruce Air.

It was extremely awesome. It was a bit different than low and slow, but a hell of a lot of fun. I got to try out some rolls, and a loop, the Extra was responsive as all get out, I was extremely suprised. I now have .2 hours of PIC in an Extra and .6 Flight Training, neato..... :D

Experienced for the first time -2Gs to 5Gs. Most Ive had was probably on a low opening of a BASE jump or a roller coaster, maybe 2Gs at most. Can't do that in the 172 I usually fly

Thanks to Steve and Brian at Steve's Aircraft the Pacer is legal to raise hell for another year. Great flight over to Beagle this AM and bumpy as sin on the way home.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Took a couple of friends for an evening flight over the Ruby Mountains last night. Ruby Dome at 11,500 msl is at our 3 o'clock and South Fork Reservoir is off the nose for those of you familiar with the area. We are at 11,600 according to the EFIS image and 23 miles ESE from Elko. :D

Re: Where did you fly today?

Nothing fancy. just another one of those days when I am reminded how blessed we are to be able to enjoy this sport.
No matter what is going on in my life, an hour or two flying around the back country will always take the edge off.

Thanks. I'm really lucky to live in an area like this. My S-7 is pretty much every thing I need in a plane and it's a joy to fly.
(OK ... I would like to have a few more ponies under the cowl so a 914 may be in the works but then I'm done. No really I mean it. No more mods....... :^o )

If you're going to post in this thread, or any trip report for that matter, it's preferred that you post your content in the post, rather than a link to another site or blog. Nothing against maulepilots.org or any other site.

Thanks.

Re: Where did you fly today?

I woke up to a nice view out my tent door this morning. The wife and I blasted off for Nehalem Bay late yesterday afternoon on a whim when we saw the coast was clear.

We were off and headed back to Hood River by noon.

The River was the place to be this afternoon and we finished off the day drinking beer on the sand bar.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Just got back from spending three days at Burning Man (88NV) in the Black Rock Desert. Gifte four lucky ladies with airplane rides (they kept their shirts on as did I) :) met a lot of really great folks. Even had aktahoe as a neighbor on the last day but we missed eachother. If you look really carefully you can see our planes parked waaaaay out there.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Took a day trip with my wife and a friend today.

Then, I spent 6 hours scraping and salting my caribou hide from last week. And drinking lots of beer.

Good day!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flew a friend out to Burning Man to meet up with her husband. Great flight out there and parked next to Scott (svanarts) but he wasn't around.
