Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Troy,

The trick is to get them really cheap and fly them out. My wife never let me spend real money on an airplane, including crop dusters. The only down side is the forced landings.

Took a friend for a quick flight this evening. Another guy from our airport joined up in his citabria and took this pic of my airplane. What a beautiful evening in the Pacific Northwest!

The horizon is at a crazy angle in the PNW! Is it hard to fly like that? [emoji14]

Only put the numbers, 139097409, between the Vimeo brackets then it will work.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Well it's been a rainy weekend up here, so I put the fenders on the ol 180 and went flying in the rain. They sure keep the mud off the bottom of the wings!

What exactly is Chief wearing? I'll be flying with about a 25 lb dog, and that looks different than the vest I put him in when kayaking.

Re: Where did you fly today?

North end Stave Lake. Biked around for a few hours. Only access is boat or plane, so pretty uninhabited. Pulled the back seat out and the front wheel off the bike (29 ER) to get it inside.

Hey A1Skinner, mud on the bottom of the wings is "credibility" that you're a real backcountry guy.

Haha! Well mud I don't care about so much, but the "strip" I use most of the time is gravel covered in calcium for dust control. Calcium is terrible hard on stuff, so I try to keep it off the plane if I can.
But my wife did say that the fenders don't look a whole lot better then wheel panties[emoji33] , so I guess maybe I'm not cut out to be a back country pilot. Zane may have to dismiss my presents here... [emoji27]

Re: Where did you fly today?

David, if it makes you feel better I stood in the hangar and went back and forth about putting the 26's on before this weekend or putting the wheel pants over the currently mounted 6x6's.

Actually, back and forth might be an exaggeration. Might have just been "forth."

If I get done with my house chores early enough tomorrow I'm going to prep the 26's for mounting. :D
