Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Re-installed my semi-temporary cowling exit and cleaned up some other things, then did 3 patterns in a 12G18 90 degree crosswind. It was good practice!

Sporty! Are you making some headway on the cooling issue?

Re: Where did you fly today?

I think so! It's hard to tell in the pattern but today I didn't see CHTs above 300 and the oil temp hovered around 160. OAT was 45 at traffic pattern altitude.

I will hopefully have some smoother air and extra time tomorrow to go for a data collection flight!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Saturday was a day to just enjoy flight.

I forgot my camera! (so used iPhone for everything)

Pulled the Cub out first and flew up to check on Pelican lake.

Little Fowl Cay, Exumas, Bahamas. 1,300' strip. Note the Turbo Commander in the bushes. Looks like it's been there awhile.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Twinks are pretty fuel efficient for the speed they put out. 160 hp 320's. I'm pointing out to Ben that his critter also needs Lopresti mods, but he thinks a Garmin GTX ADSB more important at the moment. :?

Here it is in Fond Du Lac last summer (aka Comancheville)
