You sellin' out Zane???

Great Helen of Troy!! I peruse the ads on on Barnstormers and what do I find?

http://barnstormers.com/listing.php?id=453894

Whats up with that?? Pressure from the future Mrs.? Alien abduction? The hippies in Portland are wearing off on you? Idaho mountain sickness? Rocky mountain oysters not agreeing with you? And selling two ultralights to boot?? What has happened to our fearless leader?

I'm scared to hear the answer :?

Well, at least he's not selling BCP.org.

Good luck with the sale. Hopefully the hangar doesn't stay empty to long.

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

You guys found me out. I didn't want to damage my rep by advertising here. :P

I about spewed my yakisoba when i read that. I've never tried bull testicle, not sure I plan to. Portland hippies will have to pry the yoke from my cold, dead hand (unless they are buying it.) Those ultralights for sale are my dad's.

My life plans need some adjustment, and the 170 is in need of a new family to make them happen, but I am as passionate about aviation as ever...just need to rearrange. There's a BIG purchase going down this summer, the kind with 3 bedrooms but no wings (at least not till I start construction on a some in the shop.) The old Skychicken is a good bird, but the future for now involves me renting the local Champ.

I think I have some dust in my eye...look away! :(

If you need some flying time while you re-arrange, you got friends who are happy to help fill the need.

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Let's see....... Your 28 ish yrs old..... Got a girl friend, thinking about your future. Not getting any younger, she has eyes on house with lil. picket fence, flower boxes under the windows, lil. curtain climbers playing in the grass.

So have airplane, raise hell, drink beer and run around with old buddies........... OR ?

If I was 28 I be right there with you ( gal, house, Kidos and all) Been there done that....

30+ YEARS LATER...... Just give me the damn plane and I'm happy !

Do what's in your heart Zane, when ducks are in a row and lifes good...build you a nice bird !

Just my guess and 2 Cents........

Thanks all... Everything in life is great, I updated my post above to elaborate. Paul, I'm 2 weeks older than Swingle. :)

BCP will always be free for member users, but there will be a donation button in the future for those with kind hearts and spare change. Might need a ride to JC next summer.

Zane's PREGGERS?!?!?? I knew it looked like there was more going on with him than just one too many cheeseburgers! Might have caught on sooner if I hadn't flunked biology.

Congrats! No smoking cigars until the little one's been born. =D>

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Well Zane, you can still left seat my bird if you get back to MN. In all seriousness, remember to keep the "plane" money separate, at least in your mind. Sometime in the future the discussion will come up about buying another plane, and your better half may need to be reminded that "X" amount of that money in the house is plane money, and that plane money needs to be paid back to the former plane owner to buy another plane. Just speaking as someone who was lucky enough to have acquired "plane" equity before the house, marriage, and kids thing. If you think an airplane is a money pit, you ain't seen nothing yet. Welcome to home ownership, forget spare time and spare money. I'd save the money, skip the kit, and buy a turnkey bird when finances finally allow again. With all sincerety, you have yourself a nice lady there with Erin. And if she says its time for a house, you best get a house. There will always be another plane for you, but I'm guessin she's the only Erin you'll find. Russ

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Zane, too bad you don't live closer to me. I think you are one of the few I would trust with my 58Skylane. She sure can using some exercising when I'm gone working on the road!! I just found out the hard way that airplane engines don't like to set too long!

Hope you find a good home for your 170!!

Wow...Z

Decades ago, I sold my beloved J-3 amd bought land in nurvana. But, had to hang on to a chuck on an airplane..So, I bought a run out T-Pacer for $3800. I took me 18 years to get it going...but...it is everything to me now. I have no regrets.

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Zane I feel your pain, but your doing it for all the right reasons.
Four years ago I was in about the same place, I told the wife I was going
to sell the plane and she said no way.
Were out the other side(for the moment) and am glad I still have my plane, but on the flip side I would have bought another
plane, a nicer more exspensive plane,Now I know what she was thinking.
Shes definitly smarter than me,or knows me to well.
Ether way dont fret it, It wont be long before you have a new and improved Plane.
In the mean time the wife and kids will keep you bizzy, enjoy it.

Show me where the donation button is, or allow banner advertising at a reasonable cost and I'll do one or both. No reason you should go broke doing this, it's a lot of effort and it benefits a lot of people. Your time is worth something.
