You sellin' out Zane???

Owning an aircraft has many special considerations like financing, taxes, inspections, registration, and even partnerships. You can post questions on buying and selling procedure. Please post type-specific questions and topics in the Types forum.

I'll hope you get such a deal on the house she wants that you'll have enough left over for the garage, tools, and kit/project plane! Good luck!

I thank God that I didn't have to make that decision - my husband fully supports my restoration project, for all he fondly refers to my T-crate as "my wife's mistress"!

You sellin' out Zane???

Well, after feigning an ankle injury in the Oneonta Gorge slot canyon, I popped the question down on one knee, in 6" of running water. Was pretty funny. Then we stopped for this dorky photo downriver on the Columbia.

Congratulations! =D> You are doing the right thing. Good women are a lot harder to replace than airplanes. All the best to both of you!

Well Z...now you've gone and done it! Wish all the best to you and your bride to be. Too bad about Skychicken though, I hope she finds a good home. [-o<

You sellin' out Zane???

Congrats Z, exciting news! Of course had you proposed in the 170 in flight you wouldn't have been able to get rid of it if you wanted to.

Why didn't I think of that????? #-o

Erin would be fine with the Skychicken if I thought it was a good idea...she loves airplane camping, but I have another plan of attack for my aircraft fleet. I just have to hop rides with friends for a while and tend to the bank account.

I am very happy, thanks for the words of support from my BCP friends.

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Zane,

From one who for 30 years has known the daily joy of sharing life with their lover and best friend....my wife: I wish you both all the happiness that life can offer. I had to wait until I was 33 to find the love of my life and age 37 before owning our first airplane. You beat me on both accounts by many years. =D>

"Knowing" you only by the comments and wisdom which you display on this site: to say nothing of the energy and talent required to put something like this together: it seems a good bet that you have your head on straight and know exactly where you are headed. May your journey in life bring contentment and adventure yet unimagined.

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

I'm fortunate to be married to a girl who loves the fact that we have an airplane....and I bought two of them after we were married! As for Zane, I don't know ya buddy...but I have a feeling you'll be in a new set of wings at the right time for you, and we'll all be happy for ya then as we are now. Congrats! All the best to you and your future wife and family! :D

Re: You sellin' out Zane???

Congrats Zane!!! As others have said, a good woman is hard to find these days and if she supports you and your "toys", you'll have another plane someday again. Just don't be in too big of hurry to sell the one you have. You know what you currently have and its quirks, sometimes they can be hard to replace.
