180 crash (who's got some parts for Shortfielder?)
Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.
A 1955 180 crashed while landing in South Fork, CO last Saturday. No airport there, one at Creede and another at Del Norte. Accident report said it flipped on landing, hope it wasn't one of our group. Registered owner lives in Durango.

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.
I wonder if he said any bad words while he was climbing out.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
I still have not figured out who it is. I have an Idea and I hope I am wrong.

thread drift - Talking about Colorado 180 guys, do any of you know of a one-armed Cessna 180 pilot in Telluride?? He is a retired airline guy from Ohio. We looked at buying his home airstrip near Cleveland 15 or more years ago. Last time I ran into him was at Sun & Fun a year after he moved out there. He came to look at my 180 because it had big tires. I remember he said driving out to the airport was the first time he had to drive his car since moving to Telluride. Walks to everything. I think his last name was Green maybe (?).

Damn! We were parked next to one another at Marble this last fly-in. Glad he's OK.
