What do you mean? He took the contact info out of the ad. It was also on barnstormers, so it's not like it was going to be kept secret.

That is a familiar composition, just a thousand miles or so south with a bit different background scenery. Conjures up feelings of a good hard kick in the balls. The good news is that the feeling does go away in a couple of weeks.

Oh man that's so sad to see. Someone's pride and joy, and I'm sure he's beating himself up over and over and over and over again, saying, "If I had only...."

But every single one of us, on every single flight, risk being in that same exact spot. Doesn't matter how good you are. Shit happens. Especially if you're out pushing at the edges on dirt, snow, water, etc...

I can't speak for you guys, but for me the risk is still worth it. I rather have an "oops" moment now and then by playing a bit too hard, than not being out there trying to better my skills and doing nothing at all with my life.

Just to clarify up front, I'm not casting stones because but for the grace of God I should have bent airplanes, or worse, more than once. But one observation I've made in numerous flipped airplances is bushwheels and snow. Someone here or on the other site said they work great in snow right up to the point they don't, and that is so true. They are not ski's. And sooner or later when you use them as such you find out why. Just be careful, those big tires are great for a lot of things but crusted, drifted, or deep snow are not one of them. And until you land in it you just don't know. I hope the 180 owner recovers most of his investment by selling parts. Sometimes I think that planes are worth more parted out than whole. And I hope he finds a way to get back in the air soon. Russ
