After all the posts you have done on this site, and all the advice you have been given, and the fact you live in another country as far as I can surmise I would do the following:

Contact Brian from Brain Stevens what you would like to have, what your budget is, what your end game aircraft is and go from there.

If you pay for quality service then you are a money ahead. Any company who is willing to post great quality information on this site as he has is a place I would do business with any day.

Thanks for keeping us
Monarch... I’m not a fan of having fuel (weight) so far out on the wing tip...

1958 and 1960 Cessna 182 modification projects...

Work on the 58 is progressing... The right wing fuel tanks are almost finished... All that is needed is to install the fuel level sender and the filler cap... Just waiting for a viton seal for the sender...

Image

Right wing end rib marked for cutting...

Image

Probably had the auxiliary tank in and out a dozen times...

Image

Modified the main tank drain area...

Image

Final fitting of the main tank...

Image

The stringers going over the top of the auxiliary tank on the right side are closer to the tank than I like so I decided to glue on some baffle seal material to protect it from the screws...

Image

As for the painting... the tail surfaces are white...

Image

And the fuselage is ready for etch and alodine..

Getting the left wing ready... the use of a sheet rock jack is invaluable for doing Cessna wings... makes life way more easier..

Image

And the left wing in place....

The guys will be laying out the stripes next...

Re: 1958 Cessna 182 modification project...

About time for an update..

The guys have been steadily getting this old bird back together… All control surfaces have been re installed and rigged.. A couple cables were replaced due to wear when doing that job… A bunch of electrical wires were redone or removed due to age and old avionics not being there anymore… Masking of the stripes started on Monday… Should have paint squirt by next week…

Image

Rick starting the tape work.. He uses the shadow cast by an old Piper rib to get the ark he wanted on the front..

Image

Laying out more details…

Image

Some paper applied…

Image

A different angle to show what’s happening..

Will be checking in later in the week..

Saw this aircraft in person last month when I was on the field, didn't realize it was the same one from this thread. It looked great!

This is basically the end of a 9 month long project... First flight...

Said it was a little heavy with all 96 gallons of fuel on board...
