1960 Cessna 182C Taildragger Conversion

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

He used to have a nice 170B, and his bearhawk will probably have a round tail. His Pacer does as well, so you can probably just accept him I'd think.

Very true all of those "makes & models" seem to fit with the leading requirement for membership, all are welcomed. A quick show of hands, all those in agreement say AYE, done Zzz is in the club. Now we need a secret handshake or other acknowledgement when we pass on the streets.

Now we just need a sticker like those Uber Cool 170 Mafia guys & gals

I'd like to wish all of you a Blessed Holiday Season.

I would not have the Pearl today if it weren't for Backcountrypilot.org!

Here is where I learned about Aircraft Structural Repair. They did a superb job in the conversion. I also have received great advice about various products. The Sportsman STOL kit is one example.

There is a lot of kindness here and I may never meet a lot of the users, but you're a great bunch.

PS. Gonna look into Sport Aircraft Seats in the near future (after I get the autopilot issue/choice resolved).

Garmin’s website says certification of the GFC 500 on the early 182s is set to begin within 12 months. It won’t take them long given that they’re done with the 180 and 185.

Worth waiting for in my opinion.

Zane has a really cool sticker available in the BCP store. I should say had as they have been out of stock for a while.

A buddy of mine used to roll his 180's t/w up onto a ramp in the hangar--
that raised the trailing edge of the wing up enough that he could maneuver his second airplane in and out under it.
He has kept 2 airplanes in his "hangar-and-a-quarter" (t hangar with an extra corner) for years--
just has to be a high wing & a low wing.

hotrod180 nailed it. It raises the trailing edge just a little bit but it makes all the difference for me walking around under the wings at 5'10" tall.

Chico, I don't live in NH anymore. I have been trying to change that on my avatar but have been having difficulty. I live in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. Please stop by if you are close, would be great to meet you and see your sweet airplane!
