Ok, last quick reminder:

If you purchased raffle tickets via online AND you're are attending the fly-in; PLEASE Print out the email/PM you received with your ticket numbers and bring it to the fly-in. This will be the only record you have of your ticket numbers and you need to have your ticket numbers to be eligible to win prizes. If you purchased tickets via online and haven't received a PM/email, please contact me @ [email protected] ASAP.

Dave is a crack-up! I didn't know if it was for real or not when Donna pulled out a ticket and called out my name. When I went up front Dave gave me a little yellow airplane and said something about sitting back down. I really could not believe I had just won the GRAND PRIZE! A pair of 31" Bushwheel tires!!! They are going to look sooo goood on the new Highlander that I am building right now! :D :D :D

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

A few months ago I was helping a Husky pilot take his 31's off, actually all I did was stay out of the way, but I did get to move them. I was surprised by how light they were, official weights aside, they just seemed a lot lighter then I expected. Way to go Steve! I hope you used up all your
raffle luck though!

So ... this one will land and take off again from the roof of a log cabin? In one pass?

I still can't believe what you're able to do with the original one - my hat's off to you =D>

Nice, I actually like that. I need a fishing style hat anyway, ballcaps aren't cutting it anymore when out in the sun all day!

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

The raffle was a BLAST! First, I would like to send a HUGE thanks to those who supported this raffle by donating prizes. The support was nothing short of amazing and please continue to support these generous companies! =D> =D> =D>

Tom Lawler was our big winner and took the Heli Ski trip donated by Points North Heli Adventures. Congrats Tom and you'll have to let us know how it goes. Kevin gave us a little info on the trip, and needless to say, it's going to be one heck of a adventure!

I had a good laugh when Rob won his own qt or oil, and Steve won his infamous dead stick takeoff DVD.

A big thanks to Neil (Kneel), Zane, and Erin for helping me out with the raffle. Also, thank you Matt Potratz for stepping in and mixing things up, and a thank you for the two ticket drawers for picking tickets.

It was a great time enjoyed by all! And the best part about it.... the BackcountryPilot.org Raffle raised $6486.66 to be split between the Recreational Aviation Foundation and Idaho Aviation Foundation!!! =D> =D> =D> That in itself is absolutely amazing!! THANK YOU!!!

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

I want to give a BIG THANKS to everyone that participated in the raffle.
I must have been living right that weekend, I had the winning tickets for the ABW gas can and the Zulu headset.
I traded with JLB for the BAS shoulder harness. It was hard to give up the Zulu's, but BAS doesn't yet have a STC for JLB's Maule and they will be a great safety mod for my Cessna.
I talked with Jim Mettler at BAS, he seemed excited to be able to help out with the raffle.
He flys a C180 and said he wished he could have made over for the fly-in, I hope he can make it next year!
Wup also gave me a big congrats, and said wished he could have made the fly-in.
Thanks again for everyone's effort.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Yes, Thanks to everyone who supported the raffle through donations and ticket purchases. It felt good to support the RAF, and it feels great to have won the really cool BAS restraint system, which since I couldn't utilize in the Maule, Terry was kind enough to swap the zulu headset for. Thanks Terry! Today is my partners' birthday and I was able to give them to her, she is thrilled! :D I had a great time meeting everyone and made many new friends which I look forward to flying with again soon. Thanks to Oregon Maule for putting us up for the night at his 'Perch' in Madras, what a great spot!
