Sounds like a good plan and I have no problem with that. Hopefully we won't need plan B.

Maybe have a separate, "additional" raffle for one item. Half of the proceeds from this "subsequently added" or "but wait, there's more!!!" raffle will be used for the original charity and half will be used as a donation to the facility where the event is held. That way, your integrity is maintained, people have the opportunity to participate in a second raffle, and the facility gets some well-deserved good will and assistance. Having not one but two (or five at some later date) raffles will add some spice to the event anyway.

You can use the item I donated for that purpose if you feel it appropriate, since it was probably the latest-date added.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

If people want to donate to Johnson Creek, just stuff some cash in the kitty while you're there. No reason to make it complicated.

Who does that money go to anyway? The Idaho Aeronautics Division?

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

EZflap, I agree with what Z said. I'm keeping busy enough with one raffle, I don't think I have enough time for any more. I'm sure if Johnson Creek needs the funding, the IAF can help out, but I'll leave it up to them. In the mean time, don't hesitate to add some coin the in donation box by the showers.

Jomac, that's awesome. I love seeing the participation for this raffle! I'll send you a PM and get the details ironed out. THANKS! =D> =D> =D>

Don't hesitate to keep the tickets coming folks.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Another one confirmed.

Oregon Aero has donated a $100.00 gift certificate towards any of their products. I know in most of our planes a Soft Seat cushion would make the trip to JC a lot more comfortable. Many thanks to the guys at Oregon Aero for supporting the Backcountry Pilot community. =D>

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

The top three online raffle prizes eligible for online ticket sales are the following (based on value):
1) Points North Heli-ski trip vacation
2) BAS aero shoulder harness package
3) Lightspeed aviation Zulu headset

I don't think I've received any online ticket purchases for the last 5 days, so if you have sent in for some, please PM or email me. We have a heck of a prize list now and I'm sure many of you are going to purchase tickets at the fly-in, which is great. If you want to get in on this and you're not attending the fly-in, you only have 5 Days Left.

As far as ticket sales at the fly-in, I will set up a "ticket booth" each day from 3-5pm at the picnic area (showers) on Thurs, Fri, and Saturday. If you snooze you loose, so please plan accordingly.

1 more reminder:
If you purchased online tickets and you WILL be attending the fly-in, PLEASE print out the email/PM with your ticket numbers and bring it to the fly-in. Without your ticket numbers, you will have a poor chance winning any prizes. Thanks

The roll of 2000 hasn't changed much since I opened it, so I have faith that we'll have enough tickets.

Great idea, I'll go ask a few of the local carnies if I can borrow some swag.

Yep, unless we run out (HA) I'll be pushing tickets like a used car salesman up until 5pm on Saturday. The raffle will be held on Saturday after the potluck. 5pm will be Matt's presentation, then the potluck, then the raffle.
