Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

I think the tickets should still be $5.00. If you want to buy two or more, for the higher rollers, than you may. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase.

Poor Folk

You mean cheap folk? :) Never feel sorry for a guy with a plane. If 40 people show up to the potluck, that's $400 to our favorite backcountry aviation advocacy group. Not a whole lot, and less than the value of the merchandise being raffled.

$10.

Can I buy a ticket prior to the event? I'd be out there if this dang work thing didn't get in the way...

WTF! How come nobody asked me to donate any gear?

I'll pull something out of my skymountaingear.com inventory and get back to you.

Zane and I thought this over and here's our solution.

ONLINE TICKET SALES
You can Paypal via [email protected] $10 for each ticket purchased. Put BCP.org 2011 JC Fly-in Raffle in the header line. In the comments section, put your board member name, your real name, your email address, and your physical address. I will email you back your ticket number(s), and during the drawing, the numbers drawn will be written down and posted with who won what.

ONLINE RULES:
Online ticket SALES WILL END SATURDAY JUNE 18TH AT 11:59PM (1 week prior). Place your order by then or tell someone at the fly-in to buy your ticket with cash. ALSO, ONLINE TICKET SALES WILL ONLY HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE TOP THREE PRIZES (MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN NON TOP THREE PRIZES***). We believe this is fair and that it keeps the spirit of the raffle at the fly-in, but will also generate the greatest donation for the RAF and the IAF. AND LASTLY, if you win and you're not present, you PAY FOR SHIPPING.

***For those of you that plan on attending, you may buy tickets at any time, either online via Paypal or at the fly-in via cash. By purchasing your tickets online, it will have no effect on your chance of winning all prizes as long as you are in attendance during the raffle. (Please provide all required info listed above in case you cannot attend.)

Good luck to everyone!

You might consider donating a small percentage of the money to the Johnson Creek Airport. It is surprising to me that the state of Idaho continues to pay for all of these things with all of the cutbacks.

Matt,
I've been off line for a few days and didn't pick up on this thread...got your email and this is a great idea to support two great organizations. We will put up a set of our tie downs (Deluxe 5-Kit). I may need a beer to pay for shipping to JC though...

Awesome, this trip just gets bigger and better every year.

Zane,
Wonder if you could get a good deal on the Sport Cub rental, in exchange for some good advertising.

That's like asking me to let someone borrow my favorite hooker. Struggling with this one.

Make sure you bring plenty of extra tickets to the raffle.

Not only due to the very nice donations from great companies but with the money going to worthy organizations, I think there will be a few more than one per person ticket sales.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Galen Hanselman of Fly Idaho has donated a set of Bushnell binoculars.

If you don't already know, Galen makes a terrific book called Fly Idaho which goes into great detail about each backcountry strip in ID. Galen plans on attending the flying and will bring a few books, but recommends that you purchase them at the link above just in case weather/work gets in the way. Also, I believe that the FBO at McCall carries a few copies as well.

Zane has also graciously donated some killer BCP swag. The BCP.org store should be open soon, and everyone can then start spending massive amounts of money there.

Hey Matt. This is a great idea! Very exciting. I think I might be the one saying, "There he is! Rob him!" this time! =D>

I think throwing some money to JC is a good idea too.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Matt, I just pulled into the house with my family in Yakima. I get back to the office Tuesday, I'll ask for some items for the raffle. Maybe some shirts and hats. I'm still going to try to be there, so hopefully I can just fly the stuff there with me. I'll let you know.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

That would be great Jason.

I took a break this weekend from my 9-5 gathering BCP.org raffle donations job. But rest assured, you were on Tuesdays list!

Seriously though... Please buy your online raffle tickets sooner than later. I have had a few Paypals come in, but I haven't been able to get to the local Party America for tickets, so please be patient (Monday or Tuesday). And If I get 600 online raffle ticket orders on Saturday June 18th, my wife WILL kick my butt. (mainly because I'll be putting her to work!)
