Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Hopefully you'll be putting her to work at JC, you mean. Is she going to make it up with you?

I would be remiss if a big thank-you wasn't given not only to Matt, but also to the companies donating the items. I am sure that they came on here to see who we are about and have seen this thread. So kudos for the support.

Now I just have to figure out exactly what I was wearing a couple of weekends ago when I won the poker run...right down to what must have been my lucky underwear!

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

I said it once, but I'll say it again... the generosity of the aviation community and this site is unbelievable!

Kevin (aktahoe1) and his company Points North Heli-Adventures Inc. has been gracious enough to donate a free day of heli skiing in Cordova, Alaska to one lucky person!! Oh wait... it get's even better! He is also including 5 day stay in the Orca Lodge and free meals. (retail value is approx 2000 US green backs!) =D> =D> =D> =D>

Like I said... unbelievable! :!:

Now I know everyone isn't a proficient heli skier, and I would hate to see this go to waste. (Some people on this site are drooling =P~ all over the keyboard reading about this donation.) If the winner doesn't feel comfortable jumping out of a heli and blazing down a powder covered mountain (heck, I'm getting excited just talking about this!), then perhaps you could either buy a season pass to your local ski resort and get really good, give it to a close loved one that rips the slopes and who will be your BFF forever, or donate it back to BCP and we can hold a silent auction to further our donation to the RAF/IAF. The winner will have to get in touch with Kevin/Points North Heli and see how their abilities line up and what the best option is.

Thanks so much Kevin for your awesome donation and being apart of this great site!

OK, now everyone log into Paypal and start buying tickets for a worthy cause!

Wow! I could really use that ski trip. Unfortunately this is the year I can't make the fly-in. Good luck to all and have a fun and safe trip to JC.

Re: 2011 Annual Johnson Creek Fly-in - Saturday night raffle

Hey Alex, even though you can't attend the fly-in, don't let it stop you from getting an online ticket or two!

Online details posted again for page 3:

ONLINE TICKET SALES
You can Paypal via [email protected] $10 for each ticket purchased. Put BCP.org 2011 JC Fly-in Raffle in the header line. In the comments section, put your board member name, your real name, your email address, and your physical address. I will email you back your ticket number(s), and during the drawing, the numbers drawn will be written down and posted with who won what.

ONLINE RULES:
Online ticket SALES WILL END SATURDAY JUNE 18TH AT 11:59PM (1 week prior). Place your order by then or tell someone at the fly-in to buy your ticket with cash. ALSO, ONLINE TICKET SALES WILL ONLY HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE TOP THREE PRIZES (MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN NON TOP THREE PRIZES***). We believe this is fair and that it keeps the spirit of the raffle at the fly-in, but will also generate the greatest donation for the RAF and the IAF. AND LASTLY, if you win and you're not present, you PAY FOR SHIPPING.

***For those of you that plan on attending, you may buy tickets at any time, either online via Paypal or at the fly-in via cash. By purchasing your tickets online, it will have no effect on your chance of winning all prizes as long as you are in attendance during the raffle. (Please provide all required info listed above in case you cannot attend.)

You know what, you're right. Matt had PM'ed me, and I related to him that I had two very bad experiences donating my product for raffles. So it won't be easy to get that out of my mind.

But, BCP has been and is pretty darn good to me. So step up I will.

I will donate one of my EZ Flap STC kits, whichever version is applicable to the aircraft owned by the winner, to the BCP raffle, to be used as a raffle prize. Will send Matt a printable certificate this evening.

OK, now the rest of you clowns step up too and donate something!

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

You know Gary, I was going to do this, but had to reconsider. 2 things.... 1) Some people have already bought tickets via online so it wouldn't be fair to them if I started changing the rules and 2)It's going to be more added work. I like the simplicity of $10 per ticket, everyone has fair game at these wonderful prizes!

This is all kinda new, so we'll see how this goes and make appropriate changes for next year.

OK EZ I'll pony up a case of AeroShell W100 (quarts). I'll bring it with me. If for some reason I cannot make it I'll send the winner of this item the cash equivalent of what it goes for at Aircraft Spruce. 08-05401 AEROSHELL OIL 100W SAE 50 (CS) $62.50 off their website tonight. =D> Your choice of color quart bottles, black or black.

So what you going to do if the wx doesn't cooperate and only 4 or 5 plane show up? I know I'll buy 20 tickets for $200.00 and win all the prizes. What a great plan. I'm a evil genius. [-X

Help me understand. Please.

If I buy tickets online, but make it to the fly-in. Am I still only eligible for the top three prizes?

I'll support the good cause either way, just curious?

Another donation has been added to the growing list of raffle prizes...

The great folks at Alaskan Bushwheel have donated two fuel bags (5.2/gal each) to the raffle! =D> =D> =D>

No, if you're there in person after having bought tickets online, you are eligible for anything. The point is that we don't want to end up with an angry mob of people on-site after having the all the prizes go to winners who are not in attendance.

So, in short, you are rewarded for attendance. But if you can't attend, and want to still try for the 3 most valuable items, go ahead and buy online.
