Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

It's on my calendar..I will be there early just to make sure I get a camping spot..and a viewing area for arrivals and departures. Don't need no stinking dinner bell!

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

It's on mine too. If for some unforseen reason the Stinson isn't flying yet...or I'm not comfy in it yet...I'll freaking drive this year!

Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

I don't think I will be proficient enough, or that my 75 HP Champ will be the right aircraft to fly in to JC. Would I be a totally lame reject if I show up on my Dualsport bike? I usually take a good long roadtrip in June, I would love to spend a day or two of it with the BCP crowd. Wait, let me re-word that... How much beer does a guy need to be able to strap to a motorcycle for everyone to overlook the fact that he didn't fly in?

Exploring that area would be a blast on Dualsport.
Anyone ever take a motorcycle in their plane?

If for some reason Rod over in PA doesn't have the "east coast" version, or add to his with the mid west version. We will have our 14th Graham Field / Ohio Bush Planes fly-in Sept 30 - Oct 2nd, and you are all welcome. Zane came last year and I think he had a good time.

Oh, it might help to give the location. Eastern Ohio (OH82). That is the hilly part of Ohio.

You think I had a good time? I had a GREAT time. :)

I may be back again this year. It's one of the best fly-ins I've ever been to.

I would love to go to both but will be in Michigan during the summer and North Dakota after the 1st of September.

As Arlo use to say, “you can get anything you want at Alice’s restaurant”, or in this case at Graham Field /Ohio Bush Planes fly-ins.

John;

I will be there again, with the Maule this time. Hope the weather is better for flying. Hope I can get my dog comfortable with flying so He doesn't have to stay in the kennel. Would like to stay 2 or 3 nights.

As long as the weather is good, then you shouldn't have any major problems in the champ. I plan on taking my 65hp Taylorcraft (someday :D )

I think your mountain proficiency is much more a factor than your aircraft performance, so I think it's smart that you realize that. Get some mountain-specific dual instruction, study density altitude and related performance for your aircraft, fly solo, pack light, and I think you'll be fine.

Hey David, don't feel bad at all if you decide to ride your bike in!! I drove in last summer. There's all kinds of awesome trials to ride on in that area. Don't much matter how you get there, there's always plenty of great food and people to hang with!

Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

Hey Zane, so looking at my work schedule. As of today, I can plan to be off work from June 18 thru the 27-28th. Being that I won't have a plane to fly in again. I'm more than willing to help like I offered last year with anything. Or I may just show up and hang out. Let me know if there's anything I can help with!

My son is getting married this summer with total disregard to the BCP Johnson Creek fly in. So Kitty and I will be going to Idaho in late July this year. :(
