Don't forget our buddy in Austin, too! And, Y4 is up in Winnemucca.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

There is still a lot of snow in central Idaho. My youngest son and I were snowmobiling above Cascade on Friday. Check out the outhouse in the background in the first picture; Cascade Lake is the background (still frozen) in the second photo. At least we won't have to worry much about fires in the early part of this year. Mosquitoes might be another matter!

Joe, I'm just waiting on the weather to cooperate so stay tuned! We were out Saturday at Diamond lake & Eureka but the air was getting rough by the time we headed back. The wind this spring isn't letting up much. At least not on the weekends.

Thanks for the link Em. Finally. I was wondering how long it would take with all the snow left up high.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly-In Dates???

We'll I cheated a bit and rented this one from CYA in Cascade. Used to own a machine, but haven't for quite a while. I really liked the MM. It had plenty of power and was still light enough for me to turn reasonably well. We had a lot of fun and the snow made for some excellent riding. I rent boats from CYA, too. They have treated me well over the years and Cascade has been a great place to recreate with the family. :D

JOHNSON CREEK CARETAKERS APPOINTED
Dave and Cornelia Shotwell have joined the Division of
Aeronautics team as the Johnson Creek Caretakers. They are
very well qualified, having owned a construction company in
Twin Falls for over 25 years. Dave is a pilot, owns two planes
and was on the Twin Falls Airport Advisory Board. Dave and
Cornelia managed the Whitewater Ranch on the Main Salmon
River full time for three years. During their employment there
they did major repairs, cooking, cleaning, interacted with
guests, grounds maintenance and maintained the airstrip. They
have great personalities and should be a terrific fit at Johnson
Creek . They also live in McCall. Stop in and welcome them this
summer when you stop at Johnson Creek.

Does any one posting here know these folks?

I have known Dave and Cornilia for over 20 years. Great people and will be an asset to JC. Dave and his dAd built a really nice Kitfox and then a spectacular Murphy Moose. He hasn't flown for awile and I keep trying to kick him in the butt to get him flying again. Don

Just looked at the camera, JC is snow free except for a couple of small spots under the trees.

Getting excited for this fly-in again. Will probably account for half my hours this year. The fuel prices are really getting stupid. Emmet and I will be landing on Tuesday afternoon. I have taken over the POC duties from Piperpainter. He is unfortunately stuck in the sandbox for the next 6 months.

Just found out I'll be at the Super Cub fly-in with work. Not sure about this one yet, hoping I can sneak away and show up though!

We'll feel dissed if CC isn't well represented at the fly-in like they will be with the SC guys! I think they should send the new guy.

I hope to get completely checked out by then so I can fly in. The drive is insane still even though it's so close. Would be nice to make both weekends.
