Would I be a totally lame reject if I show up on my Dualsport bike? I usually take a good long roadtrip in June, I would love to spend a day or two of it with the BCP crowd. Wait, let me re-word that... How much beer does a guy need to be able to strap to a motorcycle for everyone to overlook the fact that he didn't fly in?

As long as the weather is good, then you shouldn't have any major problems in the champ. I plan on taking my 65hp Taylorcraft (someday)
I think your mountain proficiency is much more a factor than your aircraft performance, so I think it's smart that you realize that. Get some mountain-specific dual instruction, study density altitude and related performance for your aircraft, fly solo, pack light, and I think you'll be fine.
JOHNSON CREEK CARETAKERS APPOINTED
Dave and Cornelia Shotwell have joined the Division of
Aeronautics team as the Johnson Creek Caretakers. They are
very well qualified, having owned a construction company in
Twin Falls for over 25 years. Dave is a pilot, owns two planes
and was on the Twin Falls Airport Advisory Board. Dave and
Cornelia managed the Whitewater Ranch on the Main Salmon
River full time for three years. During their employment there
they did major repairs, cooking, cleaning, interacted with
guests, grounds maintenance and maintained the airstrip. They
have great personalities and should be a terrific fit at Johnson
Creek . They also live in McCall. Stop in and welcome them this
summer when you stop at Johnson Creek.
