Just got off the phone with Rod.

Zane, if ya think ya need to combine this with the other thread, that's fine, but I wanted to start a seperate thread because the dates are different than what was talked about earlier.

The dates will be May 24,25, and 26. Full moon on the 24.
The theme is a luau, so bring your flowered shirts and straw hats. Ladies, grass skirts and coconut bras are the appropriate outfit. Maybe a prize for best coconuts
Rod will be doing a burried pig roast for Sat.night. Other nites you will be on your own for food.
I will be doing the traditional pancake/sausage/juice breakfast ($8)on Fri, Sat, and Sun mornings.
Coffee available most of the time.

All the formallities will be the same as in the past. You can read the forums from previous years for that.
Most importantly is to get the release and fill it out and get it to Rod or me before you go.

For those that haven't been to this before, if you read these threads, or the early parts of them, probly most of your questions willbe answered.

Caveman Ranch, UT68.

Caveman Ranch is in Utah Just south of Canyonlands(KCNY). I would reference the location off a VOR but some people just don't understand how to do that whole navigate with instrument thing

Yes, they do t-shirts every year. Buy them when you get there. Uusally very nice and with lots of fun detail

Last years winner was Tom Lawler with his Mall. His will be on this years shirt.

We son of a hoot dog! I just checked my event calendar and as of today, I'm scheduled to travel in the big rig from SoCal to Elkhart Lake, WI that week

As of right now, I'll plan to make a stop one way or another.

I have some questions to whom might know the answers.
1. Is there big rig parking close by? If I have to park in town, know of a safe place to park (at airport??) and be able to catch a ride to the Ranch or I can get a rental Jeep/car?
2. Is there sleeping accommodations at the Ranch? (I can sleep in my rig, too. And I won't have camping gear)

Man, I'm all excited now!! Hopefully I can stop in and hang out for a day or two with you all. I'll even try to loose some weight so when I ask to bum a ride from folks, I won't hear "crickets" and not get that look. You know, that "cow looking at a new gate" look.
