Hope you find some fun stuff to do in Tonopah for a couple days.

I sent a text to Rob about the time I thought he was in Tonopah about the Wx in the northern NV area. Not sure if he got the message, though. My guess is that he's going to be hangin with Gump for a few days. Or at one of Neveda's finest establishments Image  .

Re: Flight Following

Well I guess he left Tonopah and is now heading E of the storm.

Hey Rob, If you end up in Denver, I'll pick you up and buy you a cold one.

Edit: He's on course direct to Lake Co. (KLKV)

Re: Flight Following

As of 11:30 SPOT's showing him over Gabbs. I think his wx window is snapping shut to the northwest. Burns, Lakeview, Alturas all down with snow, low vis and wind. Methinks KRNO, or here at KHTH, might be the place to go and park for a while, and ponder it all.

But, I'm not sitting in his airplane looking out the window. His view might be sunny and nice.

Re: Flight Following

Sunny with strong and gusty surface winds, stronger aloft. Rotor cumulas and wave clouds forming over here at Minden. Thought I'd take my glider up, but crosswinds are a bit much for self-launching.
Good day for being on the ground at Minden, NV.

Re: Flight Following

It's clear and sunny up here, but KPDX is 20G30 out of the east, and few PiReps of mod to severe turb at low altitude around the Cascades and Mt St Helens.

We need a live video feed from Rob's cockpit, or at least from realtime 3D telemetry over that Iridium network. :D
