I'm starting with a trip from last weekend. We flew up to Gravelly Valley to camp for the night. I took Travis, my brother in law, with me in the 170. Justin (dudestickle) took my other brother in law Mark in his 182. It was a chili night with temps dipping down to 20F or so. A good campfire kept us warm enough to drink Lagunitas IPA until midnight though.
Justin's 182 on the flight north from Rio Vista.

The Gravelly Valley airstrip sits on the edge of Lake Pilsbury in Northern CA. The water is low now after 4 years of drought.

Watching a herd of elk cross the runway shortly after landing.

Keeping warm around the camp fire.

It got pretty cold...

Charley and Sierra thawing out in the morning sun.

Justin shooting his M1 Garand.

Looking down runway 19.

On the flight to Petaluma for lunch before heading home.
