Beautiful...I was over at Gravelly Valley and had to wait a few hours for the fog to burn off this morning.

Re: Flying with RobW56

That last one looks like Moskowitz Reservoir...looks like it is a cool place with access to the water and all. That north bay country is just chalked full of heavenly grass strips ain't it?

It is the old Moskowite strip that used to be on the sectional. Justin (Dudestickle) has permission to land there.

Nice! I'll bet the little one had a blast. Half Moon Bay has been on my list for years, one of these days, I'll make it there.

Re: Flying with RobW56

I had the day off so a friend and I flew up to Alpine (M45) in the Sierras and hiked down to Indian Creek Reservoir for some fishing. It was a beautiful day but unfortunately the fish weren't biting. We still had fun anyways though.

The Beautiful Sierra Mountains. Great photos.

Alpine is a very very nice area. Vacationed at Placerville and splashed in Lake Folsom. Good technical rock climbing at Lovers Leap.

Re: Flying with RobW56

Friday Justin and I flew up to Powers to meet up with Bryan and camp for the night. Dan flew over from Roseburg with a friend to hang out for a while. Saturday morning Sean flew over in his 182 from Grants Pass and we flew to Breakfast at Lucas Lodge in Agness. After that we all parted ways and flew home.

Breakfast at Lucas Lodge was awesome

We flew down the Rogue to Gold Beach for fuel

It was windy along the coast

We decided to land at Somoa

There was a drag race going on at the drag strip adjacent to the airport
Image

We stopped at Gravelly Valley on the flight home, it was 95 degrees on the ground so we left immediately!

Flying with RobW56

Looks like a good time. I did my family time, now I can go to Oshkosh. While at Pacific City I got the dishwasher and garbage disposal in, also closet doors painted. Got some Jeepin in to.
Cheers...Rob

Looks like fun, Rob. We might have to head out there for a visit next month when we're up in Vancouver for a week.
