Got this message yesterday also. Then it cleared up. Back again this morning. All other web sites ok.

On Monday I tried to get one step closer to finishing all of Colorado's 58 14ers (14,000+ ft peaks). My cousin Ryan and I were going to attempt North Maroon Peak, but it wasn't meant to be. CO has had a early monsoon season and for the last two week the weather has been pretty poor with early thunderstorms.

Not wanting to get stuck on an exposed ridge at 14,000ft we decided to head south of Aspen to backpack into Castle Creek. This was my second time doing these peaks and #67 and 68 on my 14er peak list. Fun day and we made the right decision of not climbing North Maroon, the weather didn't hold for very long and brought severe storms as forecast.

Hmm, I was thinking of flying up north this afternoon to check on a few strips...but I'm waiting on the aircraft's certification. Might not fly it until tomorrow morning.

Have to work tomorrow Rob , but have some time off coming up. Might hit Chukar Flat later this week and do a little weed wacking on the runway. Last time I was there it could use it. Put a layer of Thompsons water seal on the picinic table, and it sucked up the whole gallon. Oh, the fish are starting to bite too

Weather for the upcoming weekend looks very good for the west. You guys should fly south to Nor Cal and come hit our circuit around here. Lots and lots of grass, dirt and very cool places to land, camp, drink and be merry!!! Oh Yeah, we still have a very cold un-tapped keg of beer in the hanger!!!

Any takers???
