That just stirs shit up.

I don't care. I was actually curious if there was something I missed in ground school.... 8)

That said, I've seen a number of folks who spun a tire on a rim and sheared a valve stem. Ask em what pressure they're running: "Um, 10 psi". And when was the last time you checked those tire pressure?

And a couple of those involved someone having to fly back to town to round up a new tube and sometimes a tire.

So, not trying to "stir shit up.", Just trying to point out that checking tire pressures if you run low pressure and doing so regularly is important.

And removing and replacing hub caps every time is a PITA for us lazy types.

Re: hubcaps

I like them because the wheel bearings grease stays as clean as the day I packed them using hub caps. Without hub caps, it was also pretty black. The new front Cleveland wheel with the airglas kit doesn't come drilled and tapped for hub caps, otherwise I would have holed sawed a set of the grove caps also for the front.

The Cessna 150/152 type club used to sell flat cover real reasonable... the owner of the club is a close friend of mine, I'll ask him during the week if he still carries them..

I am finding that the longer I'm retired, the more skilled I've become at being that way. :)
