Figured I would share a quick shot of my Safari Straps. Please excuse the lack of rings on the extended baggage, have not got a chance to put any real rings in yet.

Received my cargo nets from Coleman’s Saturday. Very pleased for the price.

Curious what size net that is?

Also, I see that there are some overhead nutplates in a bulkhead where some straps go back to the next bulkhead aft.
My friend's 180 has that same set-up,
he has some eyebolts in those nutplates to hook misc stuff to.
I'm curious as to why the factory put in those straps--
what are those nutplates normally used for?

Those nut plates are for rear seat shoulder harnesses.

The big net is 28x37. I just use the nutplates in the floor. Not sure how the ones in the ceiling for the rear seat shoulder harnesses would hold up.

Back in the 50's, I don't think Cessna even put in shoulder harnesses for the front seaters, let alone the back.
I have to think that there was another reason for them.

Finally got the net installed, thx for all the info.

I went with the SafariStraps 28x43, to keep everything covered. The AN eye bolts worked great. I decided to keep the old patio shade piece in to block the view of our camping gear in the baggage.
