there's a nice range down at garden valley.....I've set up targets off the north end of the runway in years past and done some shooting but I wouldn't at a fly in.... too many folks walking around and kids at the J C fly ins...

Looks like tomorrow will be the best day for me to get into JC. I hope to arrive around 1 local time.

Rob, I'm not going to give you the reaction you are looking for. I'm not concerned at all about what you are carrying. I was trying to pass along a fact that you might not have been aware of - ie the div of aeronautics doesn't want us shooting up the north end of the runway during a high attendance fly-in weekend. I would hope you can respect that - if for no other reason to preserve the future ability to have these fly-ins.

I'd like to pass along another observation that you maybe didn't pick up on. You announced that you'd be carrying an AR15 to a fly-in in response to someone challenging you about flying in a week ahead of time and reserving a primo camp site - and then leaving to go home. Now I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt - but you must understand that can seem like a threat.

I'm hoping to fly in tomorrow as well. See you around the camp fire. Look for the big green 180 - Jade Juliet.

Well, we won't make it this year. We've moved up our AK departure so instead of leaving after NBAW, we are leaving for AK on Friday. We will certainly miss everyone. Hope you all have fun! Looks like the weather will open up by then so it should be a great weekend!
