Crap, we're definitely not going to make it. I'm really bummed - I hope everyone has a good time out there! I really want to get out there sometime, so if you do another one this fall, even if it's just a day trip deal, let me know.

Well... Gump is on injured reserve for today with a back issue. Can't move too well. Dosing up on IBU's and stretching so hopefully tomorrow I can climb in the airplane and make it work. It AIN'T happening today.

Have fun and drink many beers for me. Laying in hospital recovering from surgery on ruptured quadricep tendon. No fly drive or work for 3 months. 1st thing my son asked when he saw me was if we could fly to chicken strip with rob and Brian when I get better.

The thesis can wait till Sunday! Get those tires on and get over there on Saturday! This is pretty much the last large Fly-In Camp for the year AND Kevin made T-Shirts! You wouldn't want to miss out on that!

All right...got the 8.50s on :( but I'll be out there tomorrow!! :D

Yuk Buzz!!

Do what they say or you'll be walking like Chester on Gunsmoke. Hope you had a good ortho guy. The quad tendon is a no-joke injury. Bet you can guess how I know.

Find the BEST physical therapy group you can. It takes a lot of the right stuff at the right time to bring it back.

You guys have fun. Since I couldn't even consider going due to work ( losing 66 homes in this area to the big brush fire this summer, I'm real busy on the crane), SO.... I was kinda glad to see the local weather here would have precluded me launching anyway! 25+ mph (90 degrees cross also) and 34 degrees, and supposed to snow some more, slate grey skys etc etc. Have a good one.

Looks like Rob doesn't need a commemorative T-shirt but a commemorative bottle might help wash all those pills down. That table looks like my wife's side of the bathroom.

Re: Oct 27-28 High Sierra Fly In - Photos of the Desert

I have decided not to come. It's killing me too.

My better judgement says the wx although VFR at the moment has all the indications of sucker VFR. The TAFs for getting home are really shaky. 8 hours of flying is a lot for a 1 night camp/party. $470 in gas, all the deferred projects from the shoulder debacle, air races, and AOPA. You get the idea.

Y'all have fun. Here's to wishing I was there.

Looks like those guys are getting some primo wx. High of 66 F, wind 5mph out of the NE, and clear skies.

Absolutely perfect wx here at the house..... 72 degrees, no wind.

That pic is from July. I am well on my way to getting 90-100% back.

Kevin I will buy one of them good looking shirts in large if you have any left.

Gump I thought you would be out there for the party.

My call on our ugly wx was spot on. Fluctuating between MVFR and IFR.
