Re: Oct 27-28 High Sierra Fly In

The far west end of the dry lake has some big wash out/ruts running across, and there's some good sized dirt mounds scattered here and there, mostly west end. If need be, for a high wing, the road to the west is plenty wide and lots of length, and it's a clear taxi back to the lakebed. Berms are probably too high for a low wing though.

I'll be heading out on Sat morning too. Want to form up?

Sure we can figure something out Scott I usually go around Sac to the South and then go direct once around Elk Grove.

Re: Oct 27-28 High Sierra Fly In

Just a bump here.

Whee and others, the dry lakes are all in very good shape! 800's with wheel pant would work. In addition we have a lot of places for you to fly in that neck of the woods.

Saturday night will be the big shin dig!

I have asked Zane to put a tally on the top of this thread for T shirt sizes and numbers. If we get a fair amount I will have them made for certain!

I have had a lot of PM's reguarding this fly in with folsk saying they are coming. Post here on the thread and let others know. You Oregon guys, this is only 3 hours away for ya!... Same goes for the UT's and So Cal guys.

Its going to be perfect flying weather with a lot of cool places to fly

Poll added. See original post to respond.

Btw, the poll isn't perfect. If you want 2 size L's, there's no way to indicate that. Kevin will just have to do his best to make enough without getting stuck with a bunch.

Re: Oct 27-28 High Sierra Fly In

Hey Kevin,

Rob already posted on the thread saying we were attending and the shirt sizes we wanted but I tried to vote in the poll so you knew for sure but it only let me post two options. He won't have anyway of communication for the next couple of weeks so he couldn't vote. Anyway, you can count us in for Saturday night (since it didn't let me post that) and two shirts (S, XL) if you make them...I hope you do, I'm really starting to collect these things...

Can't wait to see everyone!

We'll probably form up over the Sierras somewhere then. Monitor 123.45?

Kevin,

Just do like the First Family of BCP does, load up 3 kids and hit some dirt strips in a 182. Just make sure your friends are there to push you out. Or like highroad grab 2 kids and put them in the Pacer with 31s and off to wherever he wants.

whee, don't forget the diapers :D
