Hey all!

Look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. If you are interested the RAF is hosting coffee and doughnuts on Tuesday at 0900 in the same location. Hartzell has a new location this year the old Honeywell spot I believe.

See you all soon!

Yeah, it’s kept in a sealed vault that only opens for Airventure!

I still have the killer jacket and coat, but those will be too hot to wear at OSH!

We’re on for 3:15p today at the Hartzell tent! No food or drink provided or anything special like that, mainly just shaking hands. Then we’re sidestepping to Aviat at 4:30. Hope to see you there.

It was good meeting you guys. It’s nice to place a face with a username. I thought someone took a group picture, but I may have still been delirious from the heat.

I'm back overseas, which means I'm catching up on my missed BCP!

That was me with the group photo on the way out. Attached below. It was nice meeting y'all, and can't believe I missed the stickers. Next year I guess.

Re: OSH 2025 BCP Meetup — Wed 7/23 3:15pm at the Hartzell Te

I only attend once every 5 years or so. This year I arrived on Thursday. A bunch of planes left after the Wednesday night airshow, so I was parked closer to the gate than the last time I flew in on the Saturday before the show started. I think a late arrival will be my approach for any future trips to AirVenture. The N40 got noticeably more empty each day I was there, and was a virtual ghost town by mid-morning Sunday when I departed. That made the line dance to depart a lot shorter as well. I saw all I wanted to see, but I did miss both the RAF gathering and the BCP gathering. No free donuts for this pilot. Sigh. The flight home was plagued by thunderstorms that blocked my route through Mullen Pass to get to the Seattle area. I went way south to cross the Rockies along the I-80 and Hwy 30 corridors. That routing put my plane in some pretty dense forest fire smoke. Low slant range visibility and the leading edges of my wings got covered in ash. It's always something. Still an epic flying summer taking my Maule from Puget Sound to Maryland with a stop at Oshkosh on the way home. With thunderstorms blocking my planned route through the Rockies, I also missed out on airplane camping in the Frank Church - and that was OK because of more forest fires and thunderstorms. It wasn't an easy year for long cross country flights in small planes.
