What a day!! Submersed in aviation. Managed a 10hr day with the family then called it quits before things went pear shaped. Awesome event, can see why you wouldn't get around it all in a week. Must say the hospitality has been outstanding.

The messed up thing thing is that they told us this afternoon that the grass strip is very. "Dangerous" and the touring class can't fly there. Needless to say Dory Jr., Shawn Holly and I are kinda like WTF? Seriously!!! Thankful to be here but seriously? It's 500 freaking feet for Christ sake...oh well it's an amazing time and were being treated like royalty...

Come by homebuilt camping camp host. Coffee in morning and bottled water in pm. Kind of tame compared to you other guys. :D

Well that was a fun first day! So rattled I just can't believe it. Took DFL but sure had fun...

1st one out if the gate, had a Thunder Bird landing that I was told to wait for from the air boss then look the other direction and had the Good Year freaking blimp on my other side....not to mention several thousand people watching.

Announcer said I was current after my first landing. Had a 150' takeoff and it all went downhill from there.

Good times needless to say...grass strip in the AM then off to New Holstien for the afternoon.

Looking for a little redemption....sure glad day one is over....[emoji1]

It was good to watch Kevin, sure nice to see the 180's out there. You can bet things are going to go south when there's a crowd watching, and you guys definitely had that!
