I agree, I'll never forget flying along at 1,500 AGL and telling my buddies, "whoa, smell those orange blossoms?!?" and them, at 4,000 ft, replying "huh?" If I can, 2,000 AGL max for sensory overload, above that you lose those smells, and the memories they will always trigger. My sense of smell can put me someplace quicker than a picture or sound. But that's just me.

What a kick, though, again, great shots, thanks.

Zenithguy, that is the truth! My most visceral flying ever was Quicksilvers in the summer.

Made it in last night after dodging no less than three lines of thunderstorms.

Re: Who is going to Oshkosh?

Sounds good Zenithguy, will see how things pan out - it'll probably be just me by then. Coming from our winter I think there's going to be some heat related attrition of family along the way [emoji6][emoji3]
Looking forward to putting some faces to names.

Re: Who is going to Oshkosh?

Hey AKT, looking forward to seeing your 180 in action!

Just realizing the juggling act it's going to be to get to all the things I want to - the Cessna 180/185 world gathering is on Wed eve also.

I'm hoping to be back for it in time. STOL event is at 3pm in New Holstien.

For me it's either flying or talking about flying and flying wins out....but like I said, I hope to make it back in time

Good morning getting here to Y51 today. Lots of practice and some fun skiing on the Mississippi! Here are some videos and photos from yesterday and this am. Two 180's practicing are Joe Dory Jr. And I. He has me by 130 lbs but I have the big wing. Bout equal on landings and takeoff a. Landings are about 150-170 and take offs are about the same. On our way now into Osh....stand by...
