The pacer is an exceptional bird for the price. It won't land as short as a cub or hop off the ground in inches, but it won't disappoint in the right hands. I've found it to be a great learner airplane that when properly equipped (bushwheels/borer prop) will take you more places than not.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Time for updated photos of the upgraded plane!

Gone back to 29"s (Airstreaks this time), and now on the awesome Roberts S7 Retrofit 3" Extended Bush Gear. Plane feels substantially larger as it sits so much higher. Flex of the stock spring gear is gone, better ground handling, higher angle of attack, tough. Slower though. But haven't fared mine yet like Courierguys. Looks cooler :)

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Mostly a lurker to the forum, but I liked the thread so much I couldn't resist.

Unlike all you honest airplane owners out there, I'm forced to spend most of my time borrowing my rides.

My first: PA-11 (not mine anymore, sniff)

Image

Not mine, but lucky enough to fly it when I want: Found Bushhawk

Image

Not mine, but lucky enough to fly it to JC in 2010: BCS PA-18-235

Image

Not mine, but got to spend last summer playing with it in the Wind River Range, Wyoming: Rans S-7 longtail (Emflys, this is your old bird, and I should have bought it when I had the chance!)

Thank God for gracious friends with nice airplanes! [-o<

Sweet plane, indeed. Still in the Douglas, WY area, being happily flown by a local rancher there.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Airplanes located in Fort Collins, CO (65CO). I learned to fly in the SC (dad's) and S-7 (uncle's) back in the day. Built the S-6 this past year and flew it late March in Chevak, AK. Now in CO, 140 hours, and flying great. Both the SC and S-6 were at Johnson Creek 2011. NoCOpilot is the pilot in the snowy (AK) S-6 photo and the Oshkosh photo features one of my aviation students from Alaska.
