You're close. You need to prefix that with the whole http://www.backcountrypilot.org/gallery..... bit. You've only pasted in the filename. A URL is a combination of internet hostname + filename.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

O.K.

MountainmanMatt sent me directions on how to post photos from my Picassa albums several months ago. I could never get it to work because I didn't know about placing the backcountrypilots.org/gallery as part of the process or even how to include it. My experience was the same as the gentleman above Zane's comments. I gave up and lost all the instructions that he emailed me.

Anyone willing to try sending them to me again? I cannot follow the instructions that are included on this site. Too much techie terminology.

Thank,

Bob

Here's the thread where photo insertion was discussed... I like my way...works super easy for me and I'm slightly computer retarded!

Being couped up inside finally allowed me to figure out how to post pictures!

You caught me! I know that's the same location, but is that actually me? It looks like it could be with color of the plane and parking spot, but I can't zoom in clearly enough to tell! Thanks for sharing!

Nice looking plane. What's with the large light under the fuselage? Is that stock or STC?

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Definetely not stock. The 140s that came with landing lights had a grimes light that extended out of the bottom of the wing

Hmmm...I was thinking it looked like the back corner of the ramp at Skwentna.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

I have always wondered about that 120 at Kasilof. It has an odd assortment of what's there and what's not. Ever notice that someone has pinched off the pitot tube? I talked to a guy in Seward last fall that says he has been trying to track down the owner to canibalize the plane for another 120... Don't know if he knew who the owner was and couldn't get ahold of him or couldn't figure out who it was.

I'm pretty sure its the same plane and spot, but a different day. The tent is behind the trees and I remember the blue tent fly. I was in an A star. We were looking to see where people were camped just incase during the Cactus Fire.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

907 Pilot you're right it is Kasilof =D> Its a 140 with expired registration and belongs to a guy in Kenai. I had just bought my plane about a month prior and was feeling a little self conscious about all the little rust spots, dings and such on my airplane....until I landed here

Not sure what the Bell main rotor blade grip was doing on the ramp, looks like somebody was using it for a tiedown or something.
