Yeah the weather Sunday could be iffy. Some of those coastal valleys can really get socked in with low ceilings. Friday and Saturday are looking good though so we're gonna make the bug out decision sat afternoon too.

Is breakfast at Lucas (or elsewhere??) an option for Saturday morning?

Re: Powers, OR (6S6) - June 15-16

I'm hauling wood out in the truck tomorrow so don't bring it in the airplanes.

From what I see now, the weather is looking good Friday-Sunday. There are several ways to get almost anywhere in Oregon from here without getting higher than 500ft agl, so unless we get a big storm, getting home on Sunday shouldn't be an issue.

I'm hoping to show up Friday night late. Saturday morning might be a good time to go explore, several grass strip options around and lots of off airport if anybody is interested. I have to leave again early afternoon Sat, but will be back Sunday morning for Breakfast at Lucas.

Anyone know if there's access to drinking water on the airstrip?

River or town. I didn't see any the last time I was there.

The concrete guys are pouring my garage floor Saturday at Pacific City. I may have to go on a mission to rope off the openings because the deer are going in at night. That would eff up new floors. I'm trying to get the concrete guys to do it.

I'll meet the concrete guy tomorrow on my way to Powers if I can avoid the clouds, then I don't have to deal with it.

This house is messing with my play, but it is worth it! :D I mowed the grass at the PC airport last night. It sure grows fast when it is wet and 55*-70*

G'Day...Rob

Alex, in the past I've just used my MSR water filter on the river water, but town is a quick walk too.

I will be bringing a mountain bike and a backpack. I am more than willing make a quick town run on Friday night or Saturday AM if necessary.

John did we get a count for Linda at Lucas??

I am in for Saturday Lunch and Sunday breakfast. I am staying in camp for dinner Friday and Saturday as there may be some beverages on board. 8)

To the rest of you. Tell us now when your going to eat at Lucas so John or Lora Lee can advise Linda.

Cheers

Re: Powers, OR (6S6) - June 15-16

I hate to say it, but I am out for this weekend. There might be a chance of me stopping by Friday night. I had a opportunity come up that I can not pass up.

Now I have to wait until JC for my fly in fix. Ah, the withdrawals...

Stacey and I will be in for breakfast Sunday. My dad SHOULD be down in his Stinson with a friend. If they make it they will be going to breakfast on Sunday as well.

Leaving Twin Oaks tomorrow at 5pm. Should be dropping in around 7:30p. Add Erin and me to the Sunday breakfast list.

Highroad, what's the status of the chemical toilet? I don't mind dropping one in the woods, but it doesn't take long to ruin the surrounding woods that way :)

Re: Powers, OR (6S6) - June 15-16

Well, guys, I would love to be there, but....
I'm trying to get all the paperwork (& tests?) done to satisfy the FAA's medical arm to get a current 3rd class medical. Same medical. Different dance this time.

I could expound on it, but probably best be left alone on this "wide open Internet"......,
Maybe around the campfire at JC if anyone is interested. Hopefully, JC anyway.

Firewood drop off. There is a lot of downed wood in the trees if needed.

I forgot to look at the outhouse........it will just have to be a surprise

1.2 miles from campsite into town to the market.
