I've had the idea of getting a cargo net for the extended baggage area for a long time now. I always planned on getting a custom one made from mountainwave aviation but I wasn't quite sure how I would mount it. Looking at the bulkhead at the forward edge of the extended baggage I noticed there was 4 pre existing holes that were in the perfect location for mounting some tiedown rings. I also stumbled upon a website that sells nets in various sizes for off road vehicles.
http://www.safaristraps.com. I decided what the hell and ordered their 23.5"x23.5" net that has metal rings on each corner and 48"straps with cam buckles to secure it to whatever you want. I got it in the mail today and went out to the hangar to see how it fits in the plane. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I can use it as a barrier net in front of the extended baggage area, or to secure cargo to the floor and pull it tight using the straps on each corner. Not bad for $55.
