E-Props claims 771 pounds of static thrust with the 915 iS and Zlin has gone through just about every propeller out there on the Norden and confirm this is the best performer. Others have converted their older Savage’s with the 3 blade E-Prop and are seeing similar results.

I didn’t get to fly it at the time I saw it but I’m hoping to go back to Little Rock to do so. The initial flight report from the distributor is that it flies nothing like any of the Savage line before it, which is what I expected in talking to a handful of people who have flown it. The common theme is how effortless the aileron response and roll rate is.

I’m excited to see how this new 5 blade Airmaster performs with the EPeX300Ti.

Now that's a prop, or better describe as a "high bypass, un-ducted fan"

IF I had a Norden I sure as hell wouldn't burden it with a 915's weight and complexity, just a mildly big bored 912S would do very nicely. With proven reliability and longevity at no extra cost.

PBS who makes the TP100 is alive and well. They have delivered over 1,000 TP100 engines since 2004. The TP100 costs about $150K, up from $120K from about 5 years ago.

That Norden weighs 830 pounds as you see it with 771 pounds of static thrust! I think if you flew it you wouldn’t want a big bored 912 ULS up front. The 915 is still a super light engine at 145hp and when the 916 comes out it’ll have an even better power to weight ratio at 165hp for the same engine essentially. I’d also take a 915 over the Idaho wilderness vs a big bored 912 ULS as far as reliability goes.

Yeah, what do I, an Idaho mountain pilot for the last 35 years, with 2800+ hrs on a big bored 912S, know about their reliability, compared to your own vast real world experience?

Why??? Because others with less experience than you #-o may take your OPINON as gospel, that's why.
