Just wanted to say thank you to Gary for organizing such a great fly in, and thank Rod for all his hospitality. What a great place he has down there. I really enjoyed the whole weekend and getting to meet everyone.
Hell I even enjoyed losing the spot landing contest :D

Sunday morning we flew out to the colony of people living in the big rock. What a neat place. Considering a bunch of unwashed pilots showed up Sunday morning on mothers day the people really couldn't have been any friendlier. They showed us around and even invited us into one of their cave houses. I think Cory has some pictures of it he may post. It's really a must see spot if your in the area.

Thanks again to Rod and Gary for making it happen.

Hey
A big thanks to all the folks that showed up at Caveman this weekend for the first annual Utah Spring Backcountry Flyin. From the sounds of things, there will be others to follow. Always good to see old friends and meet new ones.

Saw a lot of cool planes.

My condoleses to those who couldn't make it.

Hopefully everyone has made it home safe and sound by now.

We finally got pretty lucky on the weather, and got some great flyin in.

When I left with my buddy this AM, we flew on down the river probably 15-20 miles and got in some of the best flyin in that I have done. I will post some videos as they get done.










A huge thanks to Rod, Paula and Hunter for sharin there awesome place with us. Wonderful hospitality, and a great Sat. night dinner.

Hunter, I want the recipe for that cake buddy. That was great. I was hopin there would be some in the fridge this AM, but no such luck. Bummer.

I have a few XL and 2XL shirts left if anyone is interested.

Ye, I see the private sign, but when I click on it, it plays. I don't know what to do different. Maybe ame, or one of the others can offer some advice. Sorry 'bout that.

OK. I fixed the video, I hope :lol: Just needed to log in, go to settings, and make it publc, save changes. Not sure why, I never asked for it to be private, maybe something they have changhed???? Anyways, hopefully it can be viewed by anone now.

Great pics and video's of the Caveman weekend. Sorry I couldn't be there but HiCountry and his FBO Ed showed us good times on the eastern side and put up with us for four days. Flew us up through some beautiful country. Couldn't have had better company. Hope to see the rest of you some time down the road.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.

I too would like to thank Gary, Rod, Paula, and Hunter. =D> We had a great time and really enjoyed the weekend. I hope that we didn't wake anyone when Sadie decided she needed to be fed at 3am both mornings. It was great to meet new friends, put more faces to their screen names, and to see others again. Sorry those that couldn't make it missed out.

Here in the next week or so, I'll get a trip report put together as well, including the pics of Rockland Ranch. Blu is right. Definately worth dropping in to check out. They were very hospitable, especially since it was Sunday morning on Mother's Day.

Great people, great place, cool planes, and great flying. We can't wait to do it again next year.

See you all at JC in June!

Hey Gary:

Kudos to you for setting up such a great weekend. Tangri-La was a great base for flying all the other strips in the area. I had a blast.

It was great meeting all of you and hope to see you again at another event.

Gary, be sure this isn't the one and only annual fly in to Tangri La. Rod, Paula, Hunter & Johnnie were so gracious and hospitable to all of us.

Caveman here, thanks to all that attended the fly in this year. Hope to have one next year and there after many thanks to gary for putting this on and you guys O HIM BIG TIME :D hope everyone had a great time because i sure did, remember to spread the word around for next year and we will see you guys all back there. =D> thanks Rod Paula and Hunter.

also to Rob (NICE PICS OF CAVEMAN RANCH) and Garys videos of the (FLYING AND WATER SKIING OF U AND DEL) :D :D =D> =D>
